Querkus News - February 2002

Hello lovely people who have shown interest in the music of Querkus (or Karen and Edgars' boose closets).

Querkus is presently working on new material. Edgar has written a song! All by himself! Actually, Edgar has been writing many wonderful songs from the get go, only none were really performable (all programming). We're working hard to have this one read for our next gig. Karen is plugging away at another song... maybe we'll have two new ones ready, who knows. Which brings me to the NEXT SHOW DATE::::::

Thursday, February 28th at Bar Italia on Campus (right next to UMFM). Be there for 7pm -- have a lychee ice drink thing or coffee.... Music is free.

It's the UMFM open house. Please come out and see what goes on at the coolest station this side of Kalamazoo (well, CKUW is just as cool with those tight T-shirts and all and then there is CBC.... UMFM does rule, though.... we're all pinkos here, we can all win...).

In other news, we're having more T-shirts made. Black, white, blue, red, and beige in girls and black and beige in boys. Let me know if you want one or just come out to see us play and we'll set you up. ***If you are a DJ on camous radio that has been nice to Querkus and helped us dominate the charts, you deserve a free Querkus T-shirt.*** I know one person on this list definately qualifies. Let me know and it will be so. Also, there are stickers to be had by all. They will be at the shows, or if you give me your address I'll send you some (and maybe even a valentine card!). Edgar has been catching flu fairly often. I made him stay home and sleep when we were susposed to play on Stainless Steel Radio. He felt fine the next day so it was worth it. Jaimz and I went down to the station and goofed around. No pledges were made.... we probably weren't really that funny... at least I wasn't. But it was a lot of fun so who cares.

k -- enough out of me.
