Querkus News - February 2004

Hey there --- just Querkus keeping in touch.

Querkus is sleeping with the trees and it looks like we will be pretty much underground until spring. Edgar is going to sell his house and buy a smaller one that will be set up with a schmancy studio for us which will lend itself much better to much than my basement which has this unbearably loud furnace (it sounds like a silly reason but you haven't heard it... ot maybe you have. Anyways its loud). Spring will bring a new studio and with it new recordings of all this precious new material that has been written over the last few months. It will also bring the wedding of Jaimz and myself so I will have a new name ... I think we will make one up, better decide soon. We have one we are seriously considering. So newness all around for spring.

What I would like to tell you about is Jaimz's new movie, Liquid Lunch, which is now up on zed.cbc.ca (Download it here). You may or many not laugh, or puke, or both. But you will get to see the small start of Edgar's and my acting "career", as well as hear the first punk rock Querkus song. Edgar wrote it, I jsut yelled cuss-words for about 30 seconds. I wrote the "office" theme, and Jaimz wrote the industrial "dungeon" music. This film is full of sexual content and potty language, just to warn you. But it sure looks nice on that super 8 film. If you want to be a real sweetie, register free as a zed user and then give it a good vote so it might get on tv.
