Querkus News - January 2003

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay of the purpetual Querkus story.... Here it is for you to enjoy.

Believe it or not, a Querkus show can be had by all THIS SATURDAY AT THE COLLECTIVE IN OSBOURNE VILLAGE (the old Die Machine, downstairs). It was set up last minute by our dear friends Cone FIve. Tickets will be cheap, fun will be had... come share in your vices and have fun with us!!!

The live CD is ready in audio form, we are just finalizing the cover art. You will get it soon enough. This will be limited to about 100 copies so if you want to reserve one ahead of time email me back and I will get out my sticky notes.

The studio computer is up and running (to the dismay of my roomates upstairs... we may have to relocate back to Edgar's house because it is more forgiving of loudness), Edgar has been writing lots of new music (he goes trucking through Ontario and has to stay in hotel rooms in little towns so he brings his laptop computer with him to work on sequences and samples (and to keep him company on those cold and lonely nights at sea). We are slowly molding these new creations into songs. I'll let you know when our new material is ready to perform. I have been toying with some new songs too on the piano, something should come of it in the near future.

We had complete computer meltdown over here - my work computer at the WECC caught a virus that I unknowingly downloaded. I thought all my work was lost - Jaimz tried to fix it but then the virus got his computer too (VERY bad - he has been using it to write music for about 4 years and it all could have been lost. Skot Moat (IT Manager/Teaching Assistant at Precursor Productions) fixed it for a very generously cheap rate. We love Skot, he is brilliant. Listen to his music at www.precursorproductions.com (click on music, and then Precursor Artists, then to My Secret Satan. Please check out the 2 new Querkus tracks here too if you haven't already).

Anyways, hope you all had a great holiday and aren't broke now like me! Hey, I need a job, does anyone know who's hiring?
