Querkus News - June 2005

FIRST, my profound thanks to ALL who attended our shows this past weekend. We gave it our all for you. We are really back now...I'm sure of it (knock on wood!)... Edgar's new wicked van makes picking up and setting down our operation dreamlike (at least in comparison to the headache / tetris game of packing the Volvo!); and we have been gigging regularly enough to know what needs to be done every time and what to expect. It's a great feeling.

Special props go out to Jeff Konwalchuk, the most professsional drummer ever... and just a great all-round guy. Jeff is one of my favorite humans I have decided. Also to Valery Camarta for allowing us to use her Annex space, and to Jason Velo for letting us use his precious "TV" (video projector) for the Annex show. Thanks also to Scott Young at the Planetarium for hosting a "stellar" show and giving us great sound. You're quite the drummer too, Scott! And ofcourse I can never forget my darling husband Jaimz who produced those breathtaking visual sequences on time despite my inability to cooporate with your CD requests, and for rigging the projection system at the Annex. You never cease to amaze me.

We will certainly be back at both these gorgeously wonderful venues, I will certainly let you know when it will occur.

We will only have 1 show in July. Edgar will be busy with his fringe play until August, I don't have details on his play's schedule yet.

Anyways, the Querkus show:

Saturday, July 2nd at 7:00 PM. Osbourne Village BIZ Canada Day Festival.
We will be at the Osbourne & Stradbrook stage (near the Firehall). Naturally, this show is free, and outside, so put one something weather-appropriate and come down so we can enjoy your company.

xoxoxo
